Review: Way With Worlds

Steven Savage has released his “Way With Worlds” book on world-building. I was fortunate enough to get a review copy. Here’s what I think.

Letter L-

No project is complete without a wiki. The Loom is the official repository of information on the Tapestry and all the associated projects.

The Loom contains information on universes, worlds, states, characters, technology, history, and more. The Loom is open for everyone to view, but contributions are limited to approved Weavers only.

Letter SA collaborative project isn't any good without a place to collaborate. The Sewing Circle is the networking site for the Trilobyte project. The forums are open to everyone. This is the place to discuss specific projects, talk about world-building, or just chat with friends.

The Trilobyte Project needs people who are willing to take control.

'Verses are created with the intention of being passed off to someone who loves them. We want people to step up and become the "show-runner", the "executive producer", the person who can make the universe their own. Do this, and you will have control over the universe, the way it progresses, and what is and is not canon. It becomes "your baby".

If you think you're up to the challenge, and you can show your skills, let us know.

We're also looking for a host of others who can help out in a myriad of ways. Check our Help Wanted section for details.

The best Finale. Ever. Episode X

I just finished watching the series finale epilogue for Falling Skies.  While I have a number of issues with how it was written, I applaud the fact that it exists as it is. The Epilogue One of the most universal of complaints that fans have about TV series is the lack of a proper ending.  And

LEGO Classic The LEGO Effect

There’s something I’ve noticed over the past 20 years or so, and LEGO is, perhaps, the clearest example. They’re not the cause of this issue, but rather a window into measuring its effect. Which is somewhat ironic, since the issue is… lack of creativity. This past week, I saw several references to this massive Millennium

Okay… Can we please drop the cliché where a man loses all grasp of reality just because a woman flirts with him? The flimsiest and most transparent of “seduction” automatically makes a man lose all sense  of who he is or what he’s doing.  Really?  99.44% of the men out there will tell you that it
